Tomelty (Portaferry) Died 26th November 2023, suddenly. Gertie, dearly loved wife of the late Peter, loving mother of Susan and Peter and much loved gran of Flynn and Jessica and late of Castle Street, Portaferry.

Gertie’s remains will be reposing in John Smith Funeral Home today Tuesday 28th November from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. Funeral will leave the funeral home on Wednesday 29th November at 10.30am to St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyphilip for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by burial in adjoining graveyard.

Cowan (Kircubbin) Died 19th November 2023, peacefully at hospital. Jim, beloved son of the late Peggy and Jock, dearly loved brother of Marlene, Noel, Annette and the late Willie, dear brother-in-law of Anthony, Janet and Tom, and much loved uncle of Nichola and partner Stephen and Tara.
Jim’s remains will be reposing in John Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday 21st November from 10am-12noon and 2pm-4pm. Funeral will leave the Funeral Home on Tuesday 21st at 5pm to St. Joseph’s Church, Ballycranbeg. Requiem Mass on Wednesday 22nd at 10am followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

Reilly, Sam (Portaferry) originally from Belfast and subsequently Bangor. Died 15th November 2023, peacefully at home after a short illness, bravely borne, surrounded by his loving family. Dearly loved husband of Una and devoted father of Christopher, Sam and Kate, father-in-law to Sofia, Donna and Alan and much loved Granda to Maddie, Thea, Arthur, Ben, Albert and Ted. A celebration of his life will be held at 2pm on Saturday 18th November in Portaferry Presbyterian Church, The Portico, Portaferry followed by a private committal in Roselawn crematorium. Sam will repose at his home 15 The Strand, Portaferry between 2pm-5pm on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th. Family home private at all other times. Margaret’s remains will be reposing in John Smith Funeral Home on Thursday 9th November from 6pm-8pm and Friday 10th November 10am-12noon, 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. Funeral will leave the funeral home on Saturday 11th November at 1.15pm to St. Joseph’s Church, Ballycranbeg for Requiem Mass at 2pm followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.
