Requiem Mass in St. Peter’s Church, Warrenpoint on Thursday 9th December at 10.30am which can be viewed live on the parish webcam (churchmedia.tv) followed by private family service in Roselawn Crematorium. In line with current covid guidance numbers attending the Church will be limited. McGrattan, (Portaferry) Died 27th November 2021, Suddenly At Hospital. Cathal, dearly beloved husband of Mary, loving and devoted father of Aoife, much loved granda of Lucia, much loved brother of Anna, Margaret and the late Gerard and a dear Brother-in-law and uncle. Home private in line with covid guidelines. Cathal’s remains will repose in John Smith’s Funeral Home, 91a High Street, Portaferry from Monday (29th) at 10am until 5pm. strictly on an appointment basis only by phoning 02842728379. His cortege will depart on Tuesday at 10.30am to St Patrick’s Church Ballyphilip via High Street, Windmill Hill and Ballyphilip Road, for Requiem Mass at 11am. Interment afterwards in adjoining graveyard. The Service can be viewed live on the parish website. Family flowers only, donations if desired to Simon Community c/o John Smith Funeral Directors. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Lovingly remembered and will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

Peggy, dearly loved daughter of the late Nora and Paddy Rogan, loving sister of Anthony, David, Tom, Anna, Joe, Jean, George, Peter, Agnes, Teresa, Paul, Malachy, Nora and the late Paddy, Mary and William and a dearly loved sister-in-law and aunt. House private in line with covid guidelines. Peggy’s remains will repose in John Smith’s Funeral Home, 91a High Street, Portaferry from Monday (29th) at 2pm until 5pm. and on Tuesday from 10am until 5.30pm (strictly by appointment only – phone 02842728379) when her cortege will leave for St Joseph’s Church, Ballycran arriving 6pm approx. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11am. Interment afterwards in adjoining graveyard. Family flowers only, donations made payable to MacDermott Unit, Ulster Hospital c/o John Smith Funeral Directors. Patricia, beloved wife of the late William, loving and devoted mother of Marie, Gerald, Jean, Brian, Martin, Raymond, Bernard and the late Anne, dear mother-in-law of Harry, Dorothy, Philip, Mary, Siobhan and the late Eamon, a much loved granny and great-granny and late of 13 Ann Street, Portaferry. R.I.P. Her remains will leave John Smith Funeral Home, Portaferry on Saturday at 1pm to St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyphilip via High Street, The Square, Church Street, Anne Street and Ballyphilip Road for Requiem Mass at 1 30pm. Interment afterwards in adjoining graveyard. In line with current guidance the house will be private. Margaret Breen (Kircubbin)

BREEN (Kircubbin).  Died 24th November 2021, peacefully. Margaret, beloved wife of the late Joe, devoted mother of Leonard, Eamon, Mairead and Martin, dear mother-in-law of Mairead, Martin, Eithne, and Grace and a much loved granny.  R.I.P.  

Funeral will leave her son Leonard’s Home 16a Manse Road, Glastry on Thursday at 6.30pm to St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Church, Nunsquarter. Requiem Mass on Friday at 11am followed by burial in St. Joseph’s graveyard, Ballycranbeg. Family flowers only please.

Patricia Maddern (Carrowdore)

Maddern, Patricia (Paddy), died 17th November 2021, after a long struggle with dementia, arthritis and other illnesses. Born April 27th, 1927, and survived by her only child, Paul. He wishes to thank all those who have expressed their sadness and support at this time and would reassure everyone that his mother’s passing was very peaceful. The funeral service will be held at Groomsport Parish Church (Church of Ireland), BT19 6GH, on Tuesday 23rd November, at 10.30am. In accordance with Covid guidelines, masks will be mandatory. Interment will follow at Clandyboye Cemetery, Old Belfast Road, Bangor, BT19 1RH.
